Uncommon Journeys

Uncommon Journeys provides brief glimpses into the livs of five people who have taken a different path from the traditional Sikh careers of doctor, lawyer or engineer. Fist is London-based Indi Kaur, a 20-something star musician, composer, and teacher, whose mesmerizing music reveals touches of kirtan, Western classical, and modern jazz. Next is Delhi resident Ajeet Kaur, a redical writer whose best-selling workds and political bluntness have scandalized her readers and angered the powerful, from the 1960's until today. Finally, we meet Glasgow natives Pops and Raj (of the mustical duo Tigerstyle), celebrated DJs who prdouce a riveting blend of hip-hop, bhangra, and Indial classical tunes. Together, these five iconoclasts take viewers on journeys into Sikhi that will surprise, delight and edify both Sikh and non-Sikh audiences alike.
