In the summer of 2012 the world watched on as 100-year-old Fauja Singh, the world's oldest marathon runner, carried the Olympictorch through London. " Brought up dirt poor in a Punjabi village, and suffering from depression after the deaths ofhis beloved wife and son, Fauja took up running at the tender age of 89!
To everyone's surprise, he was a world class athlete, winningage-limit races from the very beginning.
