Synopsis

All Quiet on the Home Front is a student thesis film based on the true story of Bhagat Singh Thind. who was an Asian-American soldier in the U.S. Army who came back from WWI to have his citizenship revoked and told to leave the U.S. due to a law passing during the war that revoked the citizenship of all non-Caucasians citizens. He stays to fight for the rights of Asians in the U.S. during the 1920’s with the help of his Irish lawyer. He ends up becoming one of the first people to go before the Supreme Court to argue the definition of an American citizen. The film stars Waris Ahluwalia (from The Grand Budapest Hotel, Darjeeling Limited, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou and Inside Man) and Joe Coffey (from The Dodge Brothers). This film explores two very relevant themes today: ‘How do we define being an American citizen?’ and ‘How do we treat our Veterans?’
